My interest emerged gradually, first through a fascination with understanding how things work, and later through recognizing how technology touches every part of human life and wellbeing, from health systems to how organizations operate. When I saw how digital tools could support efficiency and equitability by putting humans in the center, that became my purpose.
Your organization field and mission

The vision of the School is to become a globally recognised leader in innovative business education and research addressing technological and social transformation, preparing graduates to excel as influential leaders, advancing sustainability and decentralisation in a rapidly evolving world.
Please tell us briefly about your role in the company / at your organization:
I am currently a Marie Curie Doctoral Candidate with the University of Nicosia, under the AGORA EU Funded Project (2024-2027). The focus of my research is on Decentralized Autonomous Organizationss operating on the Metaverse, and how a standardized process can help them become interoperable, more accessible and democratic.
Your interest in STEM
Early on, my role model was my mother who always encouraged my curiosity and provided me with books and access to libraries, documentaries and sources for expanding my world. Then, my teachers who also nurtured my curiosity and encouraged me to look beyond traditional pathways. Today, I’m inspired by leaders who combine scientific rigor with empathy, ethical thinking, and a commitment to societal progress. Those who prove that innovation and humanity can evolve together continue to guide me.
Your studies
Strengths: a strong analytical foundation, resilience, and the determination to grow beyond my comfort zone.
Weaknesses: difficulty to quiet my inner critic and trust my capabilities in competitive STEM environments.
Opportunities: exposure to multinational, multidisciplinary settings that broadened my worldview and shaped my collaborative mindset.
Threats: the rapid pace of technological change that demands constant upskilling and adaptability.
Don’t be afraid to speak your mind, or share your opinion. Your perspective is not only valuable, it is essential. STEM needs creativity, empathy, and courage! Ask the question, seek mentors, build communities, and never let any outdated stereotypes define your potential. Your brilliance will open doors for the next generation of girls who dare to dream big!
You at work
UNIC places DEIS at the heart of its culture. The University supports gender equity programs, leadership development for underrepresented groups, inclusive hiring practices, and sustainability strategies embedded into all operations. It is an institutional belief that innovation is strongest when diverse voices shape it, and when the environment, and the society benefit from them.
I am mostly proud about contributing to initiatives where technology and human impact meet. I’m equally proud of the communities my team and i have buit throught the years; bringing people together, for achieving common goals is one of the most meaningful achievements.
Your point of view
I don’t think technology empowers women any differently than it empowers any other human being. Technology expands access to education, promotes flexible work, promotes entrepreneurship, and can lead into high-impact careers. When combined with inclusive leadership, technology becomes a tool to shape industries, influence decisions, and design the future.
If I had to say only one thing to girls and women working in this but also in any other sector, would be “Don’t hold back!” Be bold, be ambitious. Build a strong foundation but also work on your communication skills. Don’t be afraid to collaborate and learn from others. This will help you develop strategic thinking, empathy and will enhance your work impact. Make good choices regarding the place you work – choose those that value you for who you are and what you bring!
I don’t believe that diversity and inclusivity should be looked only as quotas. By 2030, I would love to see diversity celebrated, instead of quantified. Leadership can only be impactful, if it reflects the society it is expected to serve. Sustainability – beyond KPIs – should guide innovation, and inclusion should not be debatable, but integrated in any strategy, design, and decision-making process. My vision is that by 2030, we will have managed to allow all voices to be heard, and every talented individual will feel empowered.
To finish with
My commitment is to purposeful, human-centered innovation and I although I have faith in the power of technology, I also believe it is only meaningful when it creates positive societal impact. Professionally, I value integrity very highly, as I do with continuous learning, and ethical leadership. Collaboration, inclusivity, and empowerment of all voices are also very important for successful and impactful research both in academia and industry. Finally, It is my strong belief that our work is only important when aligned with sustainable and responsible approaches, while any contribution (to research, academia, etc.) is only meaningful if it advances people and organizations.
I would love to remain at the forefront of digital innovation while at the same, working on policies and initiatives for ensuring technology remains human-centered and ethical. Growing as a person, and as a professional while maintaining balance, purpose, and empathy is my goal and ultimately my greatest challenge.
By 2030, I hope to have expanded my leadership influence, contributing to impactful digital transformation in innovation and technology, especially regarding decentralized applications in governance. I would love to have the opportunity to mentor future leaders, champion sustainable and inclusive practices, and shape strategies that create measurable positive change. Ultimately, I hope my journey inspires others to follow their dreams with conviction and confidence.
